Laparoscopic uterosacral ligament suspension versus sacrospinous ligament fixation for apical prolapse: perioperative outcomes

چکیده
Abstract Background Pelvic organ prolapse can be repaired vaginally or laparoscopically. Studies comparing vaginal repair with sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) uterosacral suspension (V-USLS) have found no difference in functional adverse outcomes. Laparoscopic USLS (L-USLS) is becoming a popular treatment for pelvic because it has low rate of ureteral compromise. To date, studies compared perioperative outcomes between L-USLS and SSLF. The objective this study to compare the rates complications these two methods. Methods This was retrospective chart review 243 consecutive patients who underwent SSLF at one institution March 2017 August 2019 apical prolapse. Descriptive data analyzed as appropriate Student’s t tests chi-square. Univariable logistic regression analysis performed assess predictors complications. Results Preoperative Organ Prolapse Quantification Stage (POP-Q) similar cohorts ( p = 0.23). After adjusting confounding factors, associated longer operative time (118 vs 142 min, < 0.01) shorter length hospitalization (0.68 1.06 days, 0.01). estimated blood loss procedures not statistically significant after factors. There complication (5% 7%, 0.55). No clinical risk factors were significantly Conclusion We did find

OBJECTIVE To compare the safety and efficacy of abdominal sacral colpopexy and sacrospinous ligament suspension with the use of vaginal mesh for apical prolapse. METHOD This retrospective study was conducted from 2005 to 2012 and included 89 women with apical prolapse who underwent surgery. Assessments included pre- and postoperative Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification (POP-Q) stage. Rates o...

The result of transvaginal sacrospinous ligament fixation technique, as part of the vaginal repair procedure for massive uterovaginal (Pelvic Organ Prolapse stage III and stage IV and vault prolapse) is evaluated. A total of 32 women were included in the present case series. Marked uterovaginal prolapse was present in 28 women and four had vault prolapse following hysterectomy. Patients with va...

Objective. To investigate the differences in efficacy, postoperative complications, and patient satisfaction between posterior intravaginal slingplasty (PIVS) and unilateral sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) procedures.
